Description
Here at Kaffekapslen, we also offer our very own version of the well-known Café classic, Cappuccino .
We have created a classic Cappuccino based on an Espresso, complemented by a nice frothy creamy milk - exactly as a Cappuccino should be.
Italian types of coffee are usually known names that describe how they are prepared, such as Latte, Espresso and Machiatto. Cappuccino is a bit of an exception, as it alludes to the red-brown (coffee) colour, capuchin, that got its name from the red-brown coloured hooded robes of the monks of the Capuchin (literally meaning - hooded) order in the 17th century. (Wikipedia)
Since a Cappuccino like a Latte is an Espresso based coffee with lots of frothy milk, many people are probably thinking, what exactly is the difference between a Cappuccino and a Latte?
That's a good question, and the differences are not that great. However, a Cappuccino is usually served in a smaller cup than a Latte, and it has a stronger Espresso taste, as the ratio between milk and Espresso is closer to a 50/50 split. A Latte has more milk and foam. Last but certainly not least, the most crucial difference is perhaps that Cappuccino is an Espresso with a layer of milk foam on top, while in a Latte the milk and coffee are mixed together.
Our Cappuccino comes with a medium brown colour, nice milk foam and a caffeine level that should invigorate you, without being too much. Here, in other words, is a classic Cappuccino at a reasonable price that we believe will suit most people.
We deliver this Cappuccino in pods that fit perfectly with your Dolce Gusto® machine.
