Lavazza A Modo Mio capsules

A capsule for Lavazza A Modo Mio contains 7.5 grams of irresistible coffee. According to Lavazza, this is the optimal amount for making an Espresso. The coffee consists of carefully selected coffee beans that have been mixed, roasted and ground. After this, the ground coffee has been pressed well together, which improves the Espresso quality and stops coffee grounds getting in your drink. To retain the aroma, the capsule has been tightly sealed and vacuum packed.

In the preparation of the Espresso, the pump pressure plays a major role. The optimal pump pressure ensures the perfect cream on top of the Espresso. The pump pressure is set by a Lavazza A Modo Mio so that you always get the perfect Espresso. The slow extraction process unfolds and intensifies the aromas in the coffee.

When you enjoy a coffee from Lavazza, you can taste coffee beans from different corners of the world. The company mixes beans from all over the world in many different ways to create unique flavour combinations for you. The flavour combinations are created by coffee experts who travel to different production sites to taste the coffee when it is raw. Here, the experts also select the best coffee beans for their blends.

All Lavazza coffees are blends consisting of five to six different coffees. These include either 100% Arabica beans or a mixture of Arabica and Robusta beans.

The taste of the Arabica beans varies depending on the area in which they have been grown. With Arabica from Brazil, for example, you get a sweet coffee, with a strong taste of chocolate. With Arabica from Africa, on the other hand, you get a fresher and more fruity coffee. By mixing Arabica from different corners of the world, you get a coffee with a unique taste.

With the Robusta beans, the coffee usually gets a more bitter taste. However, the caffeine content of a coffee with Robusta beans is also higher. If you want a coffee that is invigorating and at the same time has a mild bitterness, choose a mixture of Arabica and Robusta.

About Lavazza and Lavazza A Modo Mio

Lavazza's history began in the year 1895 in Turin, Italy, when founder Luigi Lavazza opened the first Lavazza grocery store. Luigi was a passionate trader who was eager to invent new exciting products. He had a great passion for his work, which led him to the discovery of various properties and origins of the coffee plant. He began to study the art of mixing coffee varieties with each other, thereby creating flavour combinations that customers loved.

In order to develop his knowledge of coffee, Luigi travelled to Brazil, where his eyes were opened to the great potential that coffee had.

After World War I, Luigi's coffee sales began to take off. This meant that his business quickly expanded. A large part of the family was now also involved in the company, such as Luigi’s son, Guiseppe. World War II slowed the company's growth a bit, but after a few years things got better and better. In 1955, another generation joined the company with Guiseppe's son Emilio. He enriched the company with his clear and innovative ideas.

From the beginning until today, Lavazza has been owned by 4 generations of the family. The coffee brand is so popular that it has spread across 90 countries, worldwide. In these countries approx. 27 billion cups of Lavazza coffee are drank every year.

The history of Lavazza can still be tasted today in all the coffee blends they offer. The company still produces many different combinations in continuance of Luigi’s work.

The taste of Lavazza coffee

Lavazza stands out from the crowd with its different flavour combinations of coffee. At the company coffee blending is an art form. It was invented over 120 years ago by the founder Luigi. The coffee blends are secret recipes devised by experts with a great passion for coffee. This makes the coffee blends special and recognizable.

With a Lavazza A Modo Mio machine you can always create the perfect Espresso. The exact coffee taste is up to you. You can choose between lightly roasted, medium roasted or dark roasted coffee beans. In addition, you can also choose between the original Lavazza capsules or compatible capsules for your machine.

On most capsule machines you can make an aromatic Espresso that you can enjoy as it is. If you have a machine with several functions, you can also make delicious coffee drinks with milk. These can be, for example, a Latte Macchiato, Cortado or Café au Lait. You can also make a regular large cup of black coffee if you wish.

With a capsule machine, life is easier, as it takes no time at all to make an irresistible, full-bodied cup of coffee. You don’t have to worry about how much coffee or how many cups you need. As soon as you feel like a cup of coffee, you can just insert a capsule and let the machine do the rest.

The capsule machine is also convenient at times when you get unexpected visitors. You can quickly make a cup of coffee for your guests without leaving them unattended for too long.
